Best Practices to Reducing Incident Totals in your Service Desk or Support Center
Many companies experience spikes in unresolved incident totals due to a host of issues.

While some companies experience a high growth rate and do not have the infrastructure to support the growing need; others do not have the processes in place to efficiently handle the incident volume. Still others do not manage their resources effectively or hold them to certain performance levels. Whatever the reason, there invariably comes a time when the incident “house” needs to be cleaned. LANDesk v8.6.1 Solutions Now Available
LANDesk Software Ltd., manufacturer of award-winning LANDesk Management Suite®, has recently released version 8.6.1. The new release will not be considered a standard Service Pack because it includes several new enhancements and has refined a few other features, such as, Trusted Access. These feature upgrades will require a similar install process as in previous versions. Originally a Service Pack release was planned in addition to the standalone upgrade, but after further research and investigation, making the new features part of the service pack while at the same time maintaining a high level of quality was a risk. 8.6.1 benefits will also include updating the media folder and eliminate manual application of patches to remote consoles as with current patches or service packs.

More information on LANDesk Management Suite, including a free trial download can be found here.

Do You Pass the Security Breach Test?
A recent global survey of IT managers commissioned by LANDesk found that more than 70% of businesses experience security breaches and that most aren’t scanning devices connecting to their networks in order to ensure those devices comply with corporate security policies. The most common causes of breaches were unauthorized mobile devices and laptops connecting to the network; users making changes to or disabling settings; and outdated patches and antivirus signatures.

Are you one of the many organizations that are failing to pass the mobile security test?

In addition to setting a corporate security policy for mobile devices and implementing a security solution that detects blended threats, customers can work with you to take advantage of network access control capabilities, such as those available with LANDesk® Trusted Access technology in LANDesk® Security Suite.

Learn more about the survey in the LANDesk press release here.

To learn more about LANDesk Trusted Access technology read the whitepaper Protecting Your Corporate Network: What Do You Know About the Endpoint Device? that can be found here.
