Verismic Software Releases Power Manager 2.2

London, UK – Verismic Power Manager is an industry leading PC Power Management tool which delivers detailed monitoring of system activity and the application of granular power reduction policies to greatly reduce electricity consumption, costs, and carbon emissions. The application is multi-language, multi-currency, features low end user impact, and also provides comprehensive reporting tools to measure and assess benefits.
This new release is a direct upgrade from the previous Power Manager and contains a number of new enhancements:
- Safe Shutdown
- When powering off a machine remotely, the end user may have left important documents open and unsaved on their machine. The ability to handle this scenario is called ‘Safe Shutdown’
- Verismic Power Manager will detect unsaved documents and save them to a temporary working directory on the machine before powering off the system
- When the system restarts Power Manager will prompt the user to let them know what documents were saved and the user will have the choice to keep them or remove them ensuring that there is no data loss
- Environmental Dashboard
- With over 100 reports available, Verismic Power Manager leads the field in reporting flexibility, but these are designed for use by administrators and management. The new environmental dashboard presents information via the corporate intranet to demonstrate the benefits of Power Manager in a format clear to end users or customers
- Savings data is presented in clear methods including equivalence values for the energy saved such as Trees Planted, or Houses Powered
- Microsoft SMS & SCCM Integration
- In addition to LANDesk integration, Verismic Power Manager allows analysis of data based on SMS or SCCM Collections or Queries
- Verismic is the only vendor to integrate with multiple products
- Microsoft environments can make even more use of their make use of existing organisational structure to minimise administration overhead
